Dr. Rory Shott

(MD)

Dr. Rory Shott is a Regenerative Pain Medicine Specialist who provides minimally invasive injection therapies for sports injuries and chronic musculoskeletal pain. His treatments include trigger point and perineural injection therapies, hydrodissection, dextrose prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, and autologous protein solution (APS).

Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Shott completed an undergraduate BSc (Honors) with a specialization in Infection and Immunology, followed by a PhD in Biochemistry, before pursuing his MD at the University of Alberta. He completed his Family Medicine residency in Chilliwack, British Columbia, where he witnessed the impact of opioid dependency on patients suffering through chronic pain. This experience helped shape his interest in non-pharmaceutical approaches to pain management, including minimally invasive injection therapies.

Dr. Shott has trained alongside leading pain management clinics throughout Western Canada and is a member of the Canadian Association of Orthopedic Medicine (CAOM) and the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM).

In 2021, Dr. Shott returned to Alberta and founded the Alberta Pain Clinic. In 2026, he joined Evidence Sport and Spine to bring regenerative and injection-based pain management services into a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment. Through this work, he helps patients explore treatment options for sports injuries and persistent musculoskeletal pain.
