
Meaghan Shewchuk
(BMRPT, CAFCI, FCAMPT, LJLCP, RISP)
Meaghan finished her undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Manitoba in 2002. Since then, she has done extensive continuing education on multiple topics, including a Doctorate of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through Evidence in Motion in 2014, a Sport Physiotherapy Diploma in 2010, and a Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2014. She also holds certifications in ConnectTherapy, acupuncture and dry needling.
Meaghan uses the ConnectTherapy assessment framework to assess complex patients in order to direct treatment to the appropriate area(s) for that patient, enhancing treatment outcomes by looking at and treating the whole body. She has volunteered as a sport physiotherapist for many different events, covering a variety of sports. She had the opportunity to travel to China in 2014 for the Youth Olympic Games as a member of the medical team for Team Canada, and actively travels internationally with Skate Canada.
Outside of work she enjoys figure skating, karate and yoga.
