Our Team

Janny Hineman graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2010 and has 14 years of clinical experience in private practice. For the past nine years, she has focused her physiotherapy practice on treating clients with scoliosis, increased kyphosis, and other spinal conditions. She has a special interest in this area due to her own diagnosis of scoliosis as a teenager and the benefits she received from attending a Schroth-based therapy treatment center in Europe as a young adult.

Janny obtained her C1 and C2 certifications in 3D treatment for scoliosis, based on the principles of C.L. Schroth, through the Barcelona Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) in 2015 and 2017. In 2023, she also completed her Level 1 and 2 training through the International Schroth Scoliosis 3-Dimensional Therapy (ISST) according to Asklepios Katharina Schroth.

Janny was the first physiotherapist in Calgary to provide Schroth-based treatment for scoliosis and has experience working with clients of all ages. She understands that a diagnosis of scoliosis can be overwhelming and stressful for both clients and their families. Her goal is to minimize these stresses through education and empowerment, no matter where clients are in their journey with their diagnosis.

In her free time, Janny enjoys hosting dinner gatherings with her husband for family and friends, as well as hiking the beautiful trails in the Rockies. She is especially happy when she can take her two sons along on hikes and see them enjoy the experience as much as she does.
