Compensation: $17.00–$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 12-month leave coverage position
  • Monday: 12:30 PM – 8:15 PM
  • Tuesday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Post-secondary education in Medical Office Administration or a related field is considered an asset
  • Experience working in a medical office environment
  • Experience with EMR and medical billing systems such as MedAccess, Wolf, or Practice Perfect is an asset
  • Knowledge of Alberta Health Care billing procedures is an asset
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient, professional, and organized operation of the clinic
  • Welcome patients, visitors, and team members with a warm, courteous, and professional attitude
  • Coordinate patient flow and communication across multidisciplinary healthcare providers
  • Create, organize, and maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical record systems
  • Guide patients through scheduling, appointments, and clinic processes
  • Process referrals and effectively manage incoming and outgoing referral workflows
  • Scan, upload, fax, and organize medical documentation and patient files
  • Perform front desk duties with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Process third-party, MVA, WCB, Alberta Health Services, private billing, and collections
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Health Information Act and clinic policies
  • Ensure compliance with all Momentum Health policies, procedures, and administrative standards
