Our Team

Maria is originally from the Philippines, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management. She spent almost eight years working in hospitality before making a career shift and moving to Canada. After settling in New Brunswick, she was introduced to healthcare through a multidisciplinary clinic and quickly realized that she had found another field she loved! A lot of what Maria enjoyed about hospitality carried over into healthcare: meeting new people, working with different personalities, building relationships, and making people feel welcome. She loves that no two days are the same and that there is always something new happening. Most importantly, she enjoys being part of a team that helps people feel supported throughout their health journey. Just like seeing a hotel guest leave happy after a great experience, Maria loves seeing patients reach their goals, feel better, and leave the clinic feeling positive about their experience.

After moving from New Brunswick to Alberta, Maria is enjoying getting to know Calgary and everything it has to offer, especially the amazing food scene, beautiful parks, and adventures just outside the city.

When she’s not at the clinic, you can find Maria hanging out with her husky, practicing yoga, eating out, or discovering a new cuisine. She’s always up for trying a new restaurant, especially if there’s good food involved!
