
Matthew Neilson

Matt is a Human Kinetics graduate from The University of British Columbia with a major in Clinical Exercise Physiology. He was born in Calgary where he lived until the age of 17 when he moved to Kelowna, British Columbia for education.
Matt is certified in personal training and has a passion for the gym, with experience related to competitive bodybuilding along with powerlifting. His journey towards kinesiology began when he was fully immersed in sports from the age of 7. Matt played basketball and football for many years before experiencing an injury playing football-an Achilles tear. This injury was unfortunate, but was a blessing in disguise for Matt as it led him towards his passion for the entire process of physiotherapy and kinesiology.
In Matt’s free time he enjoys a regimented routine related to physical activity and the gym, fishing, hiking, and watching NFL during the season.
