Dr. Jonathan Chow, DC, MD, CCFP, CROMIC, is a physician at Evidence Sport and Spine and serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine. He is also an instructor and presenter with the Canadian Association of Orthopaedic Medicine (CAOM) and has previously held a faculty role with the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation/International Association of Regenerative Therapy.
Dr. Chow’s training spans both chiropractic and medical disciplines. He originally trained as a sports chiropractor at the University of Western States before completing his medical degree at the University of Alberta and his family medicine residency at the University of Calgary. He has pursued extensive post-graduate training with leaders and organizations including Dr. Adrian Gretton, the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation (HHPF), MSKUS, and CAOM. His background also includes prior certification in strength and conditioning (CSCS-NSCA) and advanced training in myofascial pain management, including Active Release Techniques™.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chow is deeply involved in education. He regularly teaches procedural and clinical skills both nationally through CAOM and internationally through organizations such as IART/HHPF, and has presented at national conferences focused on orthopedic and musculoskeletal medicine.
Dr. Chow’s clinical focus is regenerative medicine for musculoskeletal and spine-related injuries. His practice includes ultrasound-guided interventions such as prolotherapy injections, and dextrose hydrodissection for neuropathic pain. His approach emphasizes precision, evidence-informed care, and restoring function for individuals with complex or persistent musculoskeletal conditions.
